Das Label schreibt:  "Black Hole is an obscure Italian trio which recorded it first LP “Land Of Mystery” in 1985 that’s considered as a doom masterpiece, a forerunner to the funeral doom sound developed by others years later, giving the band an increasing popularity, granting a “cult” status. Just a few know that Black Hole recorded a second concept-album, “Living Mask” in 1989 which remained unreleased until 2000 when Andromeda Relics pressed a 500 copies CD edition that was sold out soon and almost impossible to find nowadays. The best way to describe the Black Hole sound is experimental Horror / Doom Metal, though certainly not doom metal in the classic sense. Church organs make frequent appearances, the vocals are clear, distantly recorded, while the guitars are at times rather muted. The band is quite heavy, but the heaviness is derived more from the mood than from simply playing loud guitars. Death SS is acknowledged as a pioneer in Italian horror-inspired doom, and is a fair comparison for Black Hole, though they really have their own unique style, a sound all of their own that's strangely addicting. The sound of “Living Mask” is more experimental, gothic-rock and electronic, near to dark wave when compared to the more metallic debut “Land of Mystery”, but still remains a must-have for all Doom Metal maniacs."
